Antoine Dunn
Voice of a Genius

Smooth and soulful are words that describe Antoine Levar Dunn, "The Man and The Music." An accomplished vocalist, pianist and songwriter, his sound is a reflection of a style that is timeless. Donnie Hathaway, Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles are all a source of inspiration for Antoine’s music. Also, contempoary soul artist like Anthony Hamilton, John Legend, Music SoulChild, Robin Thicke, and Heather Headely round out the myriad of styles from which he draws.

His love of music started when he was young. His aunt Veronica Dunn (a professional gospel artist) was the one who fostered Antoine’s musical genius. “I wouldn’t say I chose music, music chose me. Every part of every person’s soul, and heart is an expression of music. We walk to a divine rhythm that is defined by ones heart”. Antoine L. Dunn was a recipient of the “Best Soloist Award” at the National Music Showcase (2002) while traveling with the Wiley Middle School Challenge Choir (Maestro Glenn Brackens, Director). He graduated from Cleveland Heights High where he performed with 4 choral groups. They traveled within the U.S.A., and to the Bahamas.

At age 16, he was offered an opportunity to be minister of music at Cuyahoga Community Church and remains in that position at this time. Antoine taught his self to play the piano, drums, and bass guitar. Many of Antoine’s songs are self-made with him playing every instrument. Antoine is the “one man band”. At live shows his band Vibe accompanies him. At this point in his musical journey, Antoine is poised and ready for change. “ I’m a limited commodity coming out of a city that is filled with just rap music. I want to bring real music back and make music that black people can be proud of. The song I wrote says it all…. Give me a chance, and I’ll take the world by storm, just wait and see.”- Joseph Germany.
