Bio

Antonio Arebalo discovered his love for music as a youth in the streets of New Jersey and New York. The emergence of his passion for music began with the sound of Boogie Down Production, in addition to the creative unique sound of the Wu-Tang Clan. Open minded and eager for new challenges, Antonio packed his Honda Passport with all his possessions, including most valuable companions Mecca (Rednose Pitbull), and Medina (American Staffordshire Terrier) heading to Los Angeles in March of 1999.

New to the scene, Antonio optimistically accepted an invitation from a new friend to one of LA's hottest clubs, "Magic Wednesday", where he encountered his current love and inspiration. His girlfriend, an already experienced raver at the time, introduced Antonio to trance and house music. Antonio's open mindedness quickly got the best of him, as his previous love for hip hop slowly transitioned to a fondness and appreciation for trance and house music. Many local and national DJ's ranging from Thee-O to DJ Dan to Donald Glaude, quickly became heroes to him, as he admired their candid ability to transform music by mixing. Without hesitation, Antonio quickly embarked on his journey into the realm of spinning. Making a commitment to study the art of dj'ing, Antonio vigoursly listened to his favorite cd's and did research on the best equipment, as he wanted to spare no expense on his new found passion - to spin music.

In no time Antonio invested into his first MK3 Technics turntables, a Pioneer DJM500, and a JBL EON monitor all linked onto his home computer system in January of 2001. Since then, through hard work and dedication his skills have drastically improved.

Antonio's sound is very unique and does not discriminate against any particular genre of music. Spinning anything from house, trance, techno, breaks and so forth. To date he has compiled and mixed numerous CD's in which two out of his collection, "Culture Freedom" and "The Jewel" are among his favorite. Quote: "Culture freedom" describes uniquely the sound that flows threw me. Culture is a way of life that many people embrace. I have utilized music to express my culture for people to hear and experience different elements of sound combined.
