Bio
American violinist Anton Miller has appeared in concert throughout the Unites States and abroad, performing as soloist on four different continents.
Solo concerts include a Carnegie Hall concerto debut with the New Chamber Orchestra of New York and numerous performances over the span of twenty years with orchestras in the United States. Internationally he was invited to Brazil several times to tour the Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, and Brahms concerti with the Orchestra Sinfonica de Campinas. He also gave the World Premier performance of Xiogang Yes Last Paradise for violin and orchestra in Beijing, China.
Anton Miller has made several recital and chamber music tours to Europe. As a member of the Con Brio Ensemble and Phenix Ensemble for over twenty years, he has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall and Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center.
Mr. Miller is currently on the violin and chamber music faculty both at New York University and the Hartt School, University of Hartford. He previously served on the faculty of the Oberlin College Conservatory and the Conservatory at Lawrence University in Wisconsin.
Prior to winning the Artists International Competition in New York, Anton Miller completed his Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School as a scholarship student of Dorothy DeLay and studied chamber music with Felix Galimir and members of the Juilliard Quartet. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Indiana University as a student of Franco Gulli and was awarded the prestigious Performers Certificate.
