Anuryzm

Anuryzm was conceived in 2003, in the mountains of the Lebanon. Delivering a rush of metal powered music, the band took the stage in 2004, performing in local festivals in a country engulfed by endless political bickering, wars, and bombs. To no surprise, the band put their frustrations into lyric form, covering everything from politics to socio-economic matters.

Soon after, the band was forced to come to a halt after the passing of a band member. And with John (guitarist) leaving the country, the possibility of a revival seemed impossible at the time... Until he stepped foot in Toronto, Canada.

After a lot of thought and countless auditions, John reformed Anuryzm... Colin (guitarist) joined the band in late 2007, with Andrew (drums) and Jad (keys) following in 2008. The band currently plays shows across Toronto and will be completing work on their debut album, entitled, Worm's Eye View (set for early spring release 09).

Messages from the band: "We play socio-political metal music. We are against organized religion, corrupt governments and investors, holy & money wars, brainwashing lobbyists, corporate structures whose existence depends on them wasting the earth's resources and making the $ figure at the end of every period etc etc. Our music is about exposing the truths and the lies... It is also about uniting the people who are fedup with the current world trends, and open their eyes so they can take actions of their own."
