Anya Skidan

Anya Skidan is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter. After graduating college with a degree in journalism, she decided to go back to her true passion, music. Having been playing classical piano since the age of 6, she quickly taught herself how to play guitar and ukulele and started writing and performing her songs on all of those instruments. Having lived in different parts of the world, she has been influenced by a vast variety of music from psychedelic rock, folk, Tropicalia to classics such as Neil Young, Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan. Anya was born in the Soviet Union, but has been residing outside of her country for the past 7 years.
