"5 Out of 5 Stars!"

ANYONE is like a razor sharp titanium rudder cutting through the sea of C-grade metal cloggin' the music scene today. A fine record made with taste , not haste.

-Adrian Zupp - ROLLING STONE

"A NEW BREED OF ACID ROCK"

"Whole World's Insane"
This retro treat heralds the acclaimed debut full-length set from Southern California's Anyone. The trio has developed a new breed of acid rock, quite literally. Frontman Riz Story is a true Renaissance man; aside from his musical purstuits, which include classical training, he has tried his hand in all sorts of artistic endeavors, from poetry and philosophy to the world of directing adult film. "Insane" rides - often bare - over a simple but vital drum beat. Swirling electronic noises float over the song's two chords, which are enough to keep this song thumping along with powerful riffs and pounding guitar/bass lines. - BILLBOARD

Bio

ANYONE rose from the ashes of SYLVIA, a band featuring Riz Story, Jauno (SKY CRYS MARY), and Taylor Hawkins (FOO FIGHTERS). It spent its early days throwing legendary warehouse acid parties and ruling the underground rock scene of Huntington Beach (one such party being captured on the early release “LIVE ACID”).

ANYONE quickly became one of the biggest drawing rock acts in O.C., and it wasn’t long before the band caught the eye of KORN, another O.C.-based band -then the biggest band on the planet. Offered several record deals [including one from KORN’s label Elementary], ANYONE signed in 2000 to Roadrunner Records where it released its self-titled debut album “ANYONE” to huge critical acclaim. Several European tours followed, including READING, LEEDS, PUKLEPOP, and LOWLANDS festivals, where METAL HAMMER MAGAZINE claimed ANYONE “...Delivered the most memorable set of the festival.”

For its debut album, the band garnered “5 stars” from ROLLING STONE, BILLBOARD dubbed Riz Story “Music’s next Renaissance man” who delivers “a new breed of acid rock”, and Amazon.com exclaimed “Fans will be amazed”, while KERRANG touted “ANYONE are like watching shamans in a trance!” – making this debut album one of the most celebrated indie releases of the decade.

In 2005, with the retention of new manager and music impresario Steve Eggleston, ANYONE signed an imprint deal with the venerable TOMATO RECORDS, headed by legendary A&R cat Kevin Eggers. Under Kevin’s helm, the band – now consisting of Riz on lead vocals and guitar, Miles Martin on bass, Gretchen Menn on rhythm guitar and keyboards, and Lincoln Nesco on drums - is currently recording its second studio album, “SIP THE PLEASURE OF DAYS”, to be released April 2006, which will be accompanied by a feature length film of the same name (in the tradition of PRINCE’S album and feature “PURPLE RAIN”), a movie written, directed by and starring Riz.

In February 2006, the band will begin a world tour that will take them from the U.S. to Europe to Asia, where they expect to play all the major festivals and over 200 shows until returning to O.C. in November 2006. Insiders predict this new record and tour, together with the movie, will catapult the staunchly independent band into the world rock mainstream.
