Bio

Their name can best be explained by fate. At any other time, any other place or any other day you could be anywhere else. But you're not. You're here. In the moment. Any Other Day lives in the moment. You're only as good as your last song, so play it hard or dont show up at all. Well...These guys show up every night.

The Band formed four years ago under the name "The Stevie J Band" in recognition of front man and driving force Stephen Jakubaitis, with brother Matt and friend Adam Kent along side. Inspired by the blues, the trio began playing local clubs and bars covering old and new blues tunes. "We were young, but we had all the right ideas. The songs came easy and we started turning heads at the local bars, which was a really amazing feeling at such a young age." Adam explained. The band gathered momentum. With a year of live show experience behind them, and rock tunes starting to fill the set list, the A.O.D. sound started to come together. "We wanted to be main-stream, but we didn't want to be like every other rock band out there. I know it's cliche, but we wanted to be different-plain and simple." Steve added. So the band moved on and the songs grew, as did their following. By the end of their second year together, originals were starting to fill their repertoire as the blues tunes and covers started to fall by the wayside. Their own unique sound was evolving and so they decided the time was right for a change.

With all three members now contributing to the sound, the Stevie J Band was reborn as "Any Other Day". "There we were; a new day and a new name" Steve continued, "And now all we need is an album right?" That's where it truly began, the goal; have the sound speak for itself. In December of 2003, the band began recording their self-titled debut album. "We watched every season go by while recording this thing but it had to be exceptional and we were willing to put the time into it. No rush, just striving to be the best." said Matt. A year and a half later and here they are. The CD speaks for itself as does their live performance. "We're young, but we've been doing it [live performance] for a while" Adam explained. "We make sure that our live show tells all and that everything is left on stage...Blood, sweat and tears."

Any Other Day brings together the flavors of blues, rock, funk and pop, serving up a feast for the listener's ears. Unique, but main-stream...Fresh, but familiar.... Listen to the music...What else is there?
