Anything But Hip

With eight members ranging in age from their late-20's to their early-50's with vast influences and interests ranging from classic rock to blues to funk, Anything But Hip, is a high energy band that has an infectious good time at every show with every crowd.

Versatility is what sets Anything But Hip apart from other bands. With flexible instrumentation they can cover many genres. When the horn section takes center stage, funk songs from James Brown, Tower of Power and Stevie Wonder, disco favorites from The Commodores and KC and the Sunshine Band as well as R&B classics from Wilson Pickett and Sam and Dave, are part of the band's typical repetoire. With the keyboard as the focal point, tunes by Bob Seger and Carlos Santana fit right in. As a straightahead guitar based group, they can rip through classic rock tunes by The Stones, The Beatles, The Black Crowes, The Doobie Brothers, John Cougar Mellencamp and BTO. When it's time to slow the pace, the band has no problem settling in with Van Morrison, Jimmy Buffet and Bob Marley.

Anything But Hip has been together since early 2000 and has been performing since later that same year. What started as a hobby for the four founding members has evolved into a force to be reckoned with on the local cover band scene.

With over a hundred and seventy five shows under their belts ranging from public venues such as coffeehouses, bars, clubs, casinos and breweries to private parties, weddings and corporate events at country clubs, wineries, cruise lines and community centers, Anything But Hip continues to tighten their sound and build their following.
