Bio
Kidnapped at age 16 by my own stage mother to Japan, I met Jon Andersen of YES who wanted to produce songs on me. When the Japanese labels got wind of this, I was signed as a new singer-songwriter on the spot. 3 albums later,
& having had a taste of being BIG IN JAPAN, I wanted to come back to the States and sing in English and break the stereotype of the Asian-American artist. I secretly escaped Tokyo against everyone's wishes to LA with nothing but sheer determination and two Les Pauls' under my arms. Immediately I was humbled into taking my first normal job as a waitress all the while searching for "MY SOUND". I've worked with many producers and writers ala: Don Was, Trevor Horn, Richard Perry, etc
& I've tried every style music to finally come full circle in doing what i do best. Melodic Rock with thought provoking lyrics and integrity. I've been through hell and back and wouldn't trade my experiences for the world for I have so much to say and am fiercely compelled to share my music on a mass level. There is a movie being written about my life story right now and it's called OUTSIDE IN.
