Biography

Glasgow alt-pop 4 piece APACHE DARLING release their debut EP ‘Bubblegum’ on April 25th 2018. The title track will premier in video format on April 11th on major platforms ahead of the EP release.

Formed in Glasgow, Scotland, APACHE DARLING are: Stefanie Lawrence (vocals), Andrew Black (keyboards), Charlotte Printer (bass) and Danny Kelly (drums). The band are a close knit group of friends who enjoy writing about each other’s failings in love and life! APACHE DARLING refuse to rely on backing tracks and play 100% live. This secures their place as one of the most energetic live bands to see. Keys player Andrew is flawless, playing 3 synths with only 3 fingers on his right hand. The band create a huge sound led by Stefanie’s fierce and fearless voice.

Their debut EP was recorded with producer/engineer Mark Morrow [Mt. Doubt] and the Glasgow band describe Bubblegum as “The New Pop”.

With over 16,000 entrants worldwide, lead single ‘Bubblegum' reached the semi-finals in the annual International Songwriting Competition 2017.

Record producer Eddie Kramer [Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles] describes Stefanie as “...a small girl with big lungs, a powerful Scottish female voice!”

Lyrics

More Than Me

Written By: Stefanie Lawrence,Andrew Black

More Than Me

Honesty. Lie To Me.
Show me what it’s all about.
All in white, ready to fight.
Everybody found you out. (Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh)

Maybe I’ll make it all okay, okay.
Maybe I’ll lead you, aw-ay, aw-ay. (It’s...)

Chorus
Easier.
I’ll make you love her more than me,
I’ll make you love her more than me. x2

Make believe. Reality.
You don’t know that they are not the same.
Smaller worlds in bigger space.
Bodies always say when they don’t feel.

Maybe I’ll make it all okay, okay.
Maybe I’ll lead you, aw-ay, aw-ay. (It’s…)

Chorus
Easier.
I’ll make you love her more than me,
I’ll make you love her more than me. x2

Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh.
I’ll make you love her more than me.
Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh.
I’ll make you love her more than me.
Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh
I’ll make you love her more than me.

Gotta make you love her more than me…

Chorus
Easier.
I’ll make you love her more than me,
I’ll make you love her more than me. x2

Bubblegum

Written By: Andrew Black,Stefanie Lawrence

Caught up, tied tongue.
You don’t stick like Cola flavoured favourite Bubblegum. I push, you pull.
Told myself to never sleep before you come.
I try, to give up.
But how can I when you taste, you taste so good.
I try, to stop.
But it’s Dan-ger-ous.

Chorus
We don’t talk as much about it. But we just might. If we fight fight.
We don’t talk as much about it. But we just might. If we fight fight.
We don’t talk as much about it.

Swallow, no fear.
But how can I when you chew me up, you chew me up. You push, I pull.
If I’m overboard on more time I’ll take it away.
And I disappear.
But you love it when we fight!

Chorus
We don’t talk as much about it. But we just might. If we fight fight.
We don’t talk as much about it. But we just might. If we fight fight.
We don’t talk as much about it.

Middle
Fight or flight, up and down left or right, up and down left or right.
Fight or flight, up and down left or right, up and down left or right. [We don’t talk as much]. x3

Repeat Chorus
