Bio

A Phoenix Forever offers a unique interpretation of pop-punk to a new generation of fans. Combining a variety of melodic genres and styles, tell-it-like-it-is lyrics and a pure blooded pop-punk pedigree, APF music is intelligent, upbeat, positive, and unapologetically memorable. Recently signed to Sony Music in Japan, the band is currently seeking an American label to help bring their music and their show to domestic audiences as well.

Officially, APF was born in August of 2008 after recording their first three songs in Georgia with acclaimed producers ‘Zack Odom & Kenneth Mount’ (Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Cartel, Hit the Lights & others). Though A Phoenix Forever may be considered ‘new’ to the scene, the bands’ members are not. Close friends since high school, these guys have been in and out of bands together since, well, …since pop-punk was popular before.

Very much at home on the road, A Phoenix Forever have toured extensively from coast to coast in their current incarnation as well as with previous bands. Tony Foresta (singer) and Ryan Brasher (lead guitar) even did an east coast arena tour with then label mates, the Jonas Brothers as a band called ‘Valora’ (Disney/Hollywood Records) before forming APF. Chase Abraham (bass) and Kyle Peterson (guitars) were members of up-and-coming pop rockers, ‘The Countdown’ until vocalist Brittany Flickinger went on MTV’s ‘Paris Hilton’s - My New Best Friend’ reality TV show… and won. Drummer Nick Schulthies joined Tony and Ryan in the regionally popular ‘Fletch’ several years ago and is still with them in APF.

Staying true to their DIY roots, the band have recently released their first U.S. full length CD ‘This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things’ on their own, without label assistance. It is currently available on iTunes, merchnow.com and other online vendors. You can also get it from the band directly, either online or at shows. The same 10 song album has been released in stores by Sony Music in Japan and is already gaining popularity. A Phoenix Forever returned from a successful tour of 3 major cities in Japan in October where fans met them enthusiastically. While in Japan they did several interviews and were featured in a number of music magazines and fanzines.
