Complete serenity comes out of Greensboro, North Carolina. APL, is an unsigned folk rock band with a mystical vibe. This is evident with the peaceful track "Unbound, I'm Coming Down," which is from the CD "Ancient Tunes" due out in late August 2010. A slow, light passionate tale about a person letting go of past mistakes, and finding freedom in life. This track features a slow piano introduction and soulful vocals, along with heavy folk rock riffs. These features add to the emotional intensity of the song.
APL is a peaceful folk rock band that is pleasing to the ears.

Bio
Funk, piano-gospel, fuzz rock, electronica, country shuffle; all these genres are explored within the 'APL' sound. That distinct thread that jumps the gaps of genre is the result of the producer/singer-songwriter Adam Lindquist. Formally trained as a pianist and composer, APL produces songs layer by layer, sound by sound for a penetrating and sharp experience.
After a recent several-month stay in Brooklyn, and losing 20 pounds from his already emaciated frame through meager eatings and an excess of walking, Adam brought back a handful of songs to NC. In his family's formal living room he set up a studio to record the 13 track album 'Ancient Tunes'. Trips were made to his father's church sanctuary piano and to Nashville, where his drummer-collaborator Sam Huff resides. Through this, the song-set began to bloom into a full album. The songs reflect both the grit of the city, a failing relationship, and the refuge of home. 'Ancient Tunes' is the third full length album from APL and reflects the evolution of his sound.
For a live show, APL is a 4 piece band of keyboards/guitar, drums, bass, and guitar. The dynamic, rocking, and engaging show is a powerful addition to the moody, intricate recordings. APL plans a tour of the east coast to support the release of 'Ancient Tunes'.
