"Apocalypso. The masked, steel drum-noise pop trio finally got a slot on the Bozo Stage and took full advantage of it, tearing through a set fueled by enough raw talent and creative release to overcome what would be a strange joke of a schtick in lesser hands. The band's riotous set culminated in an epic version of the Dead Kennedy's 'Moon Over Marin' featuring an eight-member chorus and a three-piece horn section. Jello Biafra couldn't have asked for a warmer and more appropriate introduction."

"Comfest is perhaps the perfect place to see this maniacal trio. The fresh air and roaming freakiness goes hand-in-hand with the sounds of a cruise ship headed straight to Hell. These three virtuosos give stunning steel drum treatments to everything from the free jazz of Roland Kirk to the speed metal of Slayer. Honestly, you only need to see them play "Immigrant Song" once in your life to get the gist, but boy is it fun."

"...What followed him on the same stage blew my mind: Apocalypso, a three-piece of bass, drums and steel drums-and all the guys wearing expressionless white masks. Wow! I wish acts like this strange but brilliant trio were on the main stage; they did a ton of whacky stuff superbly, from the classical classic 'Sabre Dance' to Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song.' Truly awesome."
