"New Noize Makers : September 2009"

Apollo 101 are an indie rock trio from East Anglia, and to be blunt and honest, they are absolutely brilliant. With extensive experience playing music in other bands, the three members have come together to create an effortlessly appealing and totally unique breed of music. Their epic and totally accessible sound is cross-genre and inspired, and they are a band who are effortlessly in touch with their music, their fan base and their industry. Ones to seriously watch out for, both in 2010 and for the rest of 2009. - noizemakesenemies.co.uk

"Norwich's Music Scene"

When you discover a new band, even if their music is fantastic, it's difficult to become attached to them if they lack personality. Apollo 101 have serious musical talent alongside a brilliant band personality, creating songs that are lively, interesting and absolutely brilliant musically. Recommended for fans of bands like The Maccabees and Foals that combine charm, character and flawless talent - trust me, these boys won't disappoint you. They're playing at Norwich's Waterfront on September 28th. - urMUZIC.com

Bio

Apollo 101 are a pop-rock trio band based in Norwich, consisting of Chris Walker on guitar and lead vocals; Josh Rayman on piano, synths and guitar; with Andy Walker providing the drums holding everyone together. Brothers Chris and Andy have gigged together for many years, and recent addition Josh has been gigging for several years himself. Taking their cues from the world of melodic rock whilst infusing shamelessly catchy pop hooks, the band take their songs to the stage with an electrifying live performance. In the studio, they carve a soundscape appealing to the listeners ear, whilst keeping it accessible and interesting. Their influences are diverse, including Muse, Snow Patrol, Feeder mixed with The Killers and even guilty 80's pleasures such as a-Ha.
