Apollo

Apollo was formed in the summer of 2019 by Brodie and Koel. Brodie had contacted Koel in pursuit of starting up a new band. With limited funds, they were subjected to playing in Brodie’s Dad’s garage and they worked mostly on acoustic sets. Only a few months later, Koel had invited Derrick to the garage where he immediately was accepted into the band. At this point they decided on the line up with: Koel on rhythm guitar/Vocals, Derrick on Lead Guitar/Vocals, and Brodie on Drums/Back Up Vocals. With summer running short and the cold bite of Saskatchewan winter, they were now in need of a new practice space and they were in search of a bass player. The band members put up an adds in search for one, and after a few bass auditions they were starting to lose hope.

A month before winter arrived is when the band’s luck had started to change. This is when they managed to find a practice space above a night club in Regina called “Gabbos”. Not too long later, Bryce who had recently moved to Regina from Ontario, had contacted Koel and the band had arranged to have a practice night with Bryce on the bass guitar. “Apollo” was impressed with Bryce’s musical talent and his commitment to the practices that they soon later accepted him as their official bass player. Thus, became the band “Apollo”.
