KaLen Jamal Maton, better known as Apollomusiq is a American singer, songwriter and entertainer. Born in Detroit, MI,  He started writing music at the age of 15 but prior to that he spent his earlier years playing the drums. He got into writing music by studying and wanting to be like his idols such as: Alicia keys, Jamie Foxx & Usher. He is a self taught singer songwriter and He learned simply by watching and listening to all genres of music. Music started as an outlet for him to express himself the best way he knew how which eventually turn into a career choice. The genres that best describe his style of music are hiphop, r&B AND Soul. Apollomusiq is the voice for the people. For those who are either afraid to use their voice or simply feel they don’t have one. Apollomusiq talks about things like love, pain, relationships and emotional/mental heath in his music. Apollomusiq (the stage name) was born in the summer of 2014 in response to KaLen’s fight with life. Industry powerhouses like: Alicia Keys, Usher, Neyo & Jamie Foxx has been a huge influence on Apollo’s authentic sound and swagger. His style of music is a mixture of smooth & sexy yet raw and nostalgic. According to sources, the highlight of his career has been growth! Seeing the growth in his Fanbase, vocal abilities and song writing skills has been incredible over the last few years. The Detroit’s native son Apollomusiq stands as one of the most exciting merchants of cool to emerge out of the new Motown era happening in the city of Detroit and the DMV area. Thanks to his newly released record “UP” Apollo’s confidence and authentic style has quickly made believers out of some the biggest players in the game. Apollomusiq is often asked “what is his message to the world?” and his reply was “My message is to always lead with love. It’s not much I expect from my fans.
