Bio

David Charles Rees -
Born in England and raised on Rock, Pop, Punk, Electro Pop, Dance, Brit Pop, Indie. Moved to Australia in 2006 and after a year in Sydney moved near Melbourne. 2008 started to record and produce songs that I hear in my head, this isn't writing. ... "what like bells and voices?" ... no, melodies, harmonies, emotion...HeLP, I heAr ToO MUch ;-) Influences:- Beatles, Radiohead, Queen, Bowie, Police, Madness, U2, REM, ELO.

Michael J Kelly -
Born in London Borough of Enfield and attended St Ignatius College who had many famous alumni including Alfred Hitchcock and George Martin. Was absolutely obsessed with sixties group music together with the odd classical piece.

Favourite bands, The Beatles and The Zombies -Songs poured out with a guitar being purchased and further influences of Argent, Clifford T Ward and ELO in the seventies were apparent. However a business career seemed the next logical step and life then took over. The songs and the music never went away and now the career has gone the tap has been turned back on!

Chapter one: Welcome to our version of the Plastic Ono band concept in the 21st Century. Apple13 comes from; the album catalog number for that particular John & Yoko album during post Abbey Road recordings.

Apple13 band - formed by Michael J Kelly (Yourkingy) and David Charles Rees (silverdreammachine) September 2010, put simply, we're creative song writers with compatible styles that have come together September 2010 as a concept and with real potential to form a physical band in the future.

Michael J Kelly's voice and music have spooky resemblances to John Lennon (listen to Beautiful Eyes) with David Charles Rees' ELO/Jeff Lynne style vocals (listen to Days of my life), brings alot of depth and contrast to the collaboration work.
