Biography

APPLEJACK and MOONSHINE are a swamp/blues country rock band making quite a name for themselves, playing their foot stompin music wherever they go. Their songs are full of flavour, layered with blues/roots rhythm with a touch of drunkenness.
With several low key gigs around town, Applejack and Moonshine are in the studio recording their debut CD, so stay tuned... Free downloads are available through www. myspace.com/thedevilcreek

Here’s what some other muso folks have to say……….

I wondered what happened to my friends smokestack and applejack, then I saw the rusty holden and it all made sense - they've been eaten by that old car and their spirits are trapped inside it, but it's connected to the studio by USB2.0, and they record when the car is asleep.
Look at you two southern-fried yokels (Mandurah and Medina respectively). That's not a bad song, boys. I expect to hear plenty more if you can keep the piss-drinking under control - geez. The Shiftless Merle Fyshwick

the deepest darkest swamplands of medina are indeed deep and dark.... Simon Kelly

Lyrics

Moonshine

Written By: Daniels/Freenstra

WOKE UP THIS MORNING WITH A POUNDING HEAD A
I CAN’T REMEMBER LAST NIGHT
I JUST RECALL THE LAST THING I SAID
GIVE ME MORE MOONSHINE

THE ONLY THING THAT’S DONE ME ANY GOOD G
OL’ MOONSHINE
THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES ME FEEL FINE
OL’ MOONSHINE

SO I WENT TO THE DOCTOR TO SEE IF HE COULD CURE ME
HE COULDN’T FIND NO WRONG
GAVE ME SOME PILLS, SAID TAKE ONE A DAY
IT SHOULDN’T TAKE TOO LONG

CHORUS

WELL I’M POPPING THEM PILLS AND DRINKING ME TONIC
SOME PEOPLE CALL ME A PILL-POPPING ALCOHOLIC
PILL-POPPING ALCOHOLIC

CHORUS

WELL I DON’T KNOW WHY PEOPLE TREAT ME THIS WAY
I MIND MY OWN BUSINESS, I PAY MY WAY
MAYBE I SHOULD GO, MAYBE I’LL JUST STAY
I’LL NEVER KNOW TILL THIS DOG GONE DAY

CHORUS
THE ONLY THING GRAND-DADDY EVER SAID
MORE MOONSHINE
