Apples for Archers

In the beginning there was Brian James. He spent the day passionately strumming his guitar as he prepared for the events of the evening. There was a rehearsal planned for the night. This was not just any rehearsal. At this rehearsal his band was going to practice with Kevin Rowell for the first time. Now, as fate would have it, Kevin had become extremely talented with his guitar over the years. That night when he began playing for Brian’s band, Brian just knew that this was right. Kevin knew it too, and in no time at all they were taking the stage in The Brian James Band. Unfortunately, in every tale there is a tragedy. This one is no different. In spite of their love for music, The Brian James Band was not able to overcome some personal tribulations, and it became necessary for them to go their separate ways.

Across town, Chris Komsthoeft sat in front of his piano dreaming of the next chord progression he was going to write. Chris loved the piano. The ivories brought him to a tranquil confidence that he could not find anywhere else. Chris was brought back to the moment as he heard footsteps in the background. As he turned around he saw Kevin pulling out his guitar to begin the audition. After hearing him play Chris immediately asked Kevin to join. Like lightening, the two flashed ideas to one another for everything they did musically. Then it happened. The light bulb came on and Chris wanted to form a brand new band with Kevin. Together they knew just what to do. The phone was ringing, “Hey Brian, it’s Kevin…”

As an ensemble, they knew they had to complete the band with a drummer. That was not the thing on their mind at the moment though. They had had a long day. They wanted to hang out. They wanted to hear some music. They just wanted to relax. Instead, they met Adam Hewlett. Within three days Adam auditioned. In the coming weeks it was only natural for Adam’s twin brother Luke to hop in too.

With that the fates of all five men were sealed. Apples for Archers quickly became a synergized team that continues to make every dream a reality by combining talent with determination. Since the release of their self-titled, debut album the Archers have been captivating audiences across the Midwest. For the Archers, being on stage is not just about a moment in the spotlight, they also use it as a chance to have a positive impact on their fans by inspiring them to achieve their own dreams.
