Biography

Approaching August was formed by five music-pursuing college students. Realizing there was potential for a band, AA formed in March 2006. What started as a cover band soon became more when AA listened to fans and began writing original music. Influences like Maroon 5, Incubus, Coldplay and Muse gave AA its own unique groove-rock sound that set their music apart from other acts in Oklahoma City. The band has played all throughout Oklahoma and Texas, including the House of Blues, Dallas. In 2008, AA self recorded a four song EP (self-titled), with tips given by Juell Records. AA plays regularly around the Oklahoma City area with a great live performance reputation. Make sure to check out a show soon!
