Bio
April Koester has always been singing, then picked up the drums in the early 90's and for the past 4 years has been using her dented powerbook to create sensual and wild soundscapes for recordings and live performances while intertwining poetry, lyrics and live singing. She writes all of her material and makes most of her sounds and samples. She and Robert Boston do lots of improvising together with each having played in all kinds of projects ranging from punk to free jazz.
We are influenced by Jobim, Bjork, Sun Ra, Joni Mitchell, Autechre, Stockhausen and all genres including African, Middle Eastern and the blues.
