"Apryl Evans: Fairytale Path of Musical Wonderment"

"There's a local tale which has its origins rooted in the fantastical. Its seams are bound by enchantment, its cover encapsulating only magic. It starts with a Jersey girl, as ay good tale should, simply trying to live out an extraordinary life, one she seemed destined to course...This Jersey Girl was different..." - Patrick McNulty - Vicissitude Magazine

Bio

When you think country music, it's almost certain that New Jersey doesn't come to mind. But one listen to Apryl Evans and she just might start changing your mind. Her latest EP "Things You Left Behind" delivers a sweet country sound all wrapped up with a soulful little bow on top, giving fans the kind of unique listening experience that keeps them coming back for more. Combine all that with her wild image and fiery personality and you've got all the makings of a force to be reckoned with. Not bad for a Jersey girl.

Ms. Evans started her journey when she managed to grasp the attention of many music enthusiasts on the fan-funding site, SellaBand.com, where fans from all over the world became investors in Apryl's project and catapulted her up the international charts to become the 10th US artist to complete a fundraising effort on Sellaband. Immediately thereafter, Apryl started working on writing new material and collaborating with the some of the best and biggest names in the industry. Along this adventure, she found herself on the doorstep of Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, owned by none other than John and Martina McBride - quite a ways from home, most would say.But as fate would have it, Blackbird was where Apryl belonged. The project was produced by Grammy Award winner David Hall and included a list of heavy hitter session musicians like Jim VanCleve, Tommy Harden, Jeff Roach, and more, as well as hit songwriters Rachel Thibodeau and Jason Sever. And her country/soul EP "Things You Left Behind" was officially born.

This all comes on the heels of Evans' reign as the 2012 Rat Rock Girl for the Jersey Shore Radio Station, 95.9 WRAT. In this role, Apryl interacted with fans of the station, hosted shows featuring greats like Three Days Grace, Hinder and Buckcherry and interviewed rockstars such as Shinedown and Chris Daughtry. And now it's Apryl's turn to take the stage, front and center. Stay tuned for more from this wild and radiant country artist.
