A Punch's Pilot was formed by years of dedication and intertwining musical paths. Although “APP” didn't make their break onto the local scene until late fall of 2008, these bandmates have shared the stage on many prior occassions.

Two years earlier, APP members were in a hard hitting local band called “D-Rail”, which APP drummer Al Periandri had co-founded. He had felt and heard something special in Marx's (Mark Garrett) voice; and in the playing style of bassist Brian Besserman (both of whom had come from an Akron based band). Although D-Rail had sold out local clubs and opened for many national acts, the project ended suddenly.

Despite the band’s breakup, Marx, Al, and Besserman remained in contact. Al continued drumming, but bandless, while Marx and Besserman joined another local project called “Dreamcoat”. Here they began playing with a friend, Jake `Draven' for the first time.

Dreamcoat also received quick recognition. They were short-lived, but took part in a local concert series and opened for a few national acts.

After Dreamcoat’s breakup in late 2008, Besserman, Marx, and Al reunited to form A Punch’s Pilot. After a member shakeup on guitar, Draven emerged as the 4th member of APP, rounding out the group's unforgettable and hard-hitting sound. When it was determined that founding drummer Al would be taking some time away from the band for personal reasons, the guys found Mike Polchek, who has proven to be a more than capable replacement. Now he joins the members of APP, who have shared the stage with such groups as Seether, Red, Adema, Hed PE, Mushroomhead, Trust Company, Head(formerly of Korn) and Taproot, as well as other great nationally known bands.

Throughout their careers, these bandmates have received great exposure, and continue to further their reputation. They have become great friends and clients of “Spider Studios”, and they continue to grow and record there in Strongsville, Oh.

A Punch’s Pilot's drive and determination to create and play solid rock music, coupled with their unmistakable talent and energetic stage presence is sure to make them a hit on the national scene in the very near future.
