"Review of January 16th show at Spankys Billiards"

I featured the Band 'A Quiet Mind" recently, and also went to see and meet the band members in person- Got my autographed CD - yea baby!!!!!! - Let me tell you this band put on the best live show. ....This band Rocks, and they know how to entertain their audience. I spent the early part of the evening before the show talking with Dane AQM's bass player. Wow !!! that was great- We discussed briefly the band's touring schedule which includes Houston, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi (the bands hometown) .For now they are managing themselves and doing a hell of a job in self-promotions and booking their shows- and they are taking off like there is no tomorrow., and they have already opened for some Major National Acts such as Seven Dust.
So when you get a chance check these guys out- www. myspace. com/aquietmindcc If you like Rock and Metal your going to like them too- they are just that kinda of band, believe me. I loved their recent show at Spanky's in Corpus Christi Texas.

Bio

A Quiet Mind rose from the murky depths of a humble karaoke bar in Corpus Christi, TX. In May 2007, three regular patrons of the bar joined with the bar's own DJ and began the works of what would later become a five piece hard rock orchestra of passion and aggression. In June, they debuted live at KC's Place, the bar the band will always call home. Since then, AQM has been featured on Corpus Christi's Rock Radio Station C101 on the undrground music promotion show called, New, as well as a Sinister Music Co. Compilation Disc including: Soil and The Max Cavalera Project, that was distributed Nationally. AQM has also been honored to have opened for a few national bands such as :: Sponge, Sevendust, Mudvayne, Nonpoint, HED P.E., In This Moment, A New Revolution, Soulidium and Eyes Set to Kill. Their songs range from sappy-regretful-heartache ballads to kick-you-in-the-teeth-and-spit-on-your-mother hard rock scream-alongs. A few members came and went at the start of the band's short career, but they have settled on :: Steve Vasquez on lead vocals, David Bray and Chris Tapia on guitar and backing vocals, Marcus Dane on bass and Animal on drums.
