Bio

Joseph Aquilina is the singer/guitarist and main songwriter of the group. He was featured on the 1999 BBC documentary on singer song-writer Nick Drake, before he started the band. After being introduced to double bass Royal College graduate Paul Baker, Samy Bishai joined the group as violinist following an advert placed in the Loot Newspaper. Samy has worked along side Lemar and on various pop sessions and features a large amount on the Terry Hall and Mushtaq album "The Hour of Two Lights" released on Damon Albarn's label "Honest John's" and has toured with this project. Lenin Alegria recently joined the Band as the drummer, currently also working with the band The Conway Story.
A Live EP released a year and a half ago. It was recorded at The Ocean Venue, Hackney, London in front of a large audience. The Live production was done by Greg Brimson (Bush, Metallica, Eminem). Studio engineering and production by Mikey Benn (Beth Orton) and Aquilina.
Their music is song based, with melody as an important element in the arrangement; not only in Joseph's voice, but in the instruments too. Melodic, Melancholic and Uplifting are three words used together in describing their sound. They have been compared with the likes of Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, Coldplay, Seal, Sting and the Dave Mathews Band. All of these artists have an individualistic sound, as does their own.
