After collaborating together in different LA band formations over the years, Ami, Ravi and Antoine decided (on Ami's initiative) to put together their own project. Their repertoire is focused on -but not limited to the extremely rich musical cultural heritage of Brazil, that is their interpretation of standards of Bossa Nova and Samba as well as lesser known traditional styles such as samba funk, choro, baiao, partido alto and more. They also play an array of original compositions written by either one of them and their own arrangements of American Jazz standards. Their sound is modern and unique while encompassing diverse traditions of different time periods. Two major key components of their music are interaction and improvisation. The result is entertaining and contemporary, an experience guaranteed to be fresh and full of surprises.
