"Are You A Bellaholic-How Well Do You Know Artist “Arabella Jones”? Read To See!"

A few weeks ago I was finally able to sit down and send Ms. Arabella Jones her interview. I hate that it took so long, but hey, I finally got it to her Being a home school mom, planning my daughters weddings, AND doing this – I’m a little behind and slow right now. But it’ll pick up again, I promise y’all. We have good days and bad days.

Arabella took the time out of her busy schedule to sit down and give us some answers that I’m sure even the faithful “Bellaholics” may not know the answers to. I guess we’ll have to see. I actually discovered Arabella through my daughter’s Twitter. My daughter told me one day she had a video for me to watch on YouTube, so I watched. Asked who she was and my daughter told me. I can’t even remember what the video was that I watched, it’s been so long ago. I finally got Arabella to follow me back on Twitter (my personal account – as I didn’t have The Country Buzzz at the time). And then after starting TCB, I got her to follow me there as well and was very honored to have her agree to this interview! Arabella is very talented and she works very hard on all of her video’s she puts out for us fans to see.

Ok, I’ll shut up now and get on with the interview. Let’s see how well you Bellaholics know your favorite artist!

TCB: Would you first start off by giving us a short bio about yourself?

Arabella: My name is Arabella Jones, and I’m a 17-year-old country/pop singer from Houston, Texas.

TCB: At what age did you actually begin singing?

Arabella: I started singing in middle school, and started seriously pursuing a career about two years ago. I got a later start than most musicians, but I’ve come so far since then, and I couldn’t be more proud.

TCB: Are you just an artist, or are you a songwriter as well?

Arabella: I am a singer/ songwriter!

TCB: What was your reaction when you became verified on Twitter?

Arabella: I was sooo excited! I even made a little video, so I think my reaction can be summed up here
TCB: Click here to watch: Arabella’s Reaction To Being Verified On Twitter

TCB: Can you tell some of our other “unverified” artists how you became verified? (Like what they look for to verify you.)

Arabella: The verification process is quite mysterious, so no one can really say!

TCB: What’s your favorite home cooked meal?

Arabella: Being from the South, I’m a big sucker for anything fried! I love good fried chicken.

TCB: What’s your favorite meal when you are in Nashville?

Arabella: LOL, If I’m not eating fried things, I’m actually really into keeping a clean diet! So fruits, vegetables, protein; I basically eat things like that!

TCB: Have you had any kind of offers from any Record Labels yet?

Arabella: Keeping that on the down low
TCB: I had a feeling I already knew what that answer was going to be

TCB: How did you become involved with “Peace Tea“, your sponsor?

Arabella: My sponsorship with Peace Tea came about in such a cool way! I found Peace Tea for the first time in a random gas station on a road trip, and thought it was the best thing ever! I started tweeting them and posting pictures of me drinking Peace Tea just because I loved it so much, and actually got a response from them. We started talking back and forth, sort of built a relationship, and one thing led to another! Drink Peace Tea!

TCB: What’s it like to perform at “Teen Hoot”?

Arabella: Teen Hoot is one of my favorite shows I’ve played because of the amazing friendships I’ve made with the other artists, and just how supportive and amazing the audience was. It was a such a high-energy night!

TCB: What’s a typical day in the life of Arabella Jones?

Arabella: A typical day in the life of Arabella Jones is pretty laid back, but full of things to get done. Working out, school work (I’ve started online schooling), and doing things for music are all essential. Aside from that, I usually have time to kick back and relax!

TCB: How often do you practice vocals?

Arabella: I practice vocals daily, ideally for an hour or two.

TCB: How does it feel to have a few singles out on iTunes?

Arabella: Having songs out on iTunes makes me feel really legitimate, LOL, which is always satisfying!

TCB: How well is your newest release of “Better Dig Two” going on iTunes?

Arabella: Very well! It’s my latest video, so if you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out here! Better Dig Two

TCB: If you were asked to give a speech on “How to become a successful artist”, what advice would you give?

Arabella: My advice would be to work hard, obviously, but also take initiative and find ways to separate yourself from, and overcome the competition. Also stay true to who you are, because as an artist, everything you sing, say, or do, has to be real and from the heart.

TCB: If you could perform in any other country, outside of the U.S., where would you like to perform and why there?

Arabella: It’s a dream of mine to perform throughout Europe, because it’s sooo beautiful, and I’d love to take my music worldwide!

TCB: Have you had the opportunity to meet any Superstars at this point in your music career?

Arabella: I’ve met some really awesome artists around Nashville, as well as some superstars in the hometown, Houston!

TCB: If you could choose 1 artist of each genre (Country & Pop) to open for, who would you choose and why?

Arabella: I would really love to open up for Luke Bryan, as a country artist, and Katy Perry, to pick as a pop artist, because they are some of my favorites. They are so fun and high energy!

TCB: Do you work with any producers, managers, promoters, etc. or do you take care of that yourself?

Arabella: For a long time, it was basically me and my dad running things, but I have an awesome management team and producer now!

TCB: How does an artist like yourself go about getting a sponsor such as Peace Tea?

Arabella: My advice is just to begin to reach out to organizations or brands that you like, and try to work something out with them!

TCB: Do you ever perform for Causes, Organizations, Foundations, etc. where all proceeds go to them? If so, which one(s)?

Arabella: I actually just began a charity partnership where 50% of my mp3 sales on ReverbNation go to Camp Southern Ground, a foundation started by Zac Brown. And on April 20, I’ll be performing with an all-star lineup in Houston at the OMG Music Fest. All of the proceeds there will go to Brothers In Strength, which is a foundation that provides residential treatment to abandoned and abused kids. Here’s where you can go to get more information and buy tickets!

TCB: Is there anything else you’d like to add to this interview that I may not have covered?

Arabella: I think that covers it! I hope your followers like this interview

Thank You Arabella! It was a great honor to have this opportunity to Interview you! Keep doing what you’re doing, because apparently you’re doing something right You already have a very large-sized fan base. And hopefully after this interview, you’ll have even more! That’s my intention with these interviews! Even if an artist is already verified on Twitter, another handful of “new fans” doesn’t hurt. Right?

Okay Bellaholics – Did you know ALL of these answers to these questions we asked Arabella? Hopefully we ALL learned something new today about Arabella, her music, what she enjoys eating, etc. LOL.

Again, I’d like to say thank you to Ms. Arabella Jones for taking time to do this interview with The Country Buzzz! I appreciate it and I’m sure other artists and all of your fans and potential new fans will too. It was an honor! I hope you keep in touch, so I can let everyone know that doesn’t have Twitter, etc. when you have new singles and videos coming out!

Bio

Hi, thanks for reviewing my EPK! Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I've been studying guitar since I was 10 years old. I discovered my love for singing when I joined my middle school choir. After going through a very competitive audition process, I made the All Region honor choirs three years in a row as a soprano.

Starting in early 2011, I started training to be a professional country music vocalist with vocal coaches Kim Wood-Sandusky, Brett Manning, Jamie Wigginton, and Tom McKinney. About the same time, my dad helped me launch my YouTube channel, where I perform mostly covers of some of my favorite country songs. I have a long list of favorite artists - including Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Jason Aldean, and Johnny Cash.

I'm so excited with how well my YouTube channel has done! I have more than 21,000 subscribers and almost 900,000 views - and it's growing every day because of your support! Please also look me up on Facebook, Twitter, and ReverbNation. I've recently been ranked as high as #1 in the ReverbNation Country Chart for Houston, and #9 in the US! I feel so blessed to have fans from all over the world, and I love reading all of your comments and messages!

I love performing live at all kinds of venues including concert halls, coffee houses, Opry shows, churches, and amusement parks. I really love being able to connect with my audience through my music, and making them happy!

I've also begun songwriting with writers here in Texas as well as Nashville. I plan to go into the studio to record some of my originals to post on iTunes, so please stay tuned! :)

I'm really thankful for all of the encouragement that I've received from my family, friends, teachers, and fans. Without them, I wouldn't have gotten to where I am! xoxoxox
