Biography

Born in Kentucky and raised in a small town in Southern Illinois, Ara Chelsea has always been a small town girl with a big dream.

Ara started singing at the tender age of 2, where she entered her first talent show. Ara, the daughter of Wild Horses Band's bass guitarist Steve Kellough, has been influenced by the music industry on every level her entire life.

Ara has worked very hard to prepare herself to chase her dream as being a country singer. She began to take singing and dancing lessons and participating in pageants at the age of 4 to better herself as a performer. She has held the titles and participated in numerous talent shows and events, including Miss Teen Austin Talent Show.

Ara decided to persue her education before persuing music full time. She attended Baylor University as a Theatre Major and a Music Minor then transferred to The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor on scholarship for Music and Theatre. Ara will graduate, a year early, in the Fall with a Performance studies, Music, and Theatre degree.

Ara has been featured on Local and National television networks for TV appearances ranging from News Channel 6 to NBC and has also had the opportunity to have live radio performances.
Music and performing has always been the loves of Ara's life.

Ara Chelsea resides in Central Texas and is persuing a career in the country music industry. Working full time as a local realtor, Ara currently is very involved as a staple in the local community. Recently becoming a new mom of a beautiful 7 month old son, Ara has had to shift her focus but is ready to pursue her dream full force. Having lived in Texas for 15 years now, Ara is getting her feet wet in the Texas Country scene. Ara is focusing on auditioning musicians for her band in order to play full time. She is also exploring her passion for songwriting and is at this time writing and recording her own music. Ara is performing shows statewide as well as nationally and is also in the studio recording her first album which hopes to debut very soon.
