Archer Monk is singer songwriter T. Wold and “Wanderdust”(2015) is the first album under this name and his third album to date. He recorded “The Folkadelic Two Step” (2006) in Australia on his own when he was living near the beach which drew comparisons to Nick Drake while 2010’s “Buried Transmissions” was recorded at The Terrarium in Minneapolis with a full band and the feel of a folkier Tom Petty.
“Wanderdust” was recorded and produced by Jonathan Burnside (The Sleepy Jackson, Melvins) in and around San Francisco and with plenty of pedal steel, organ and slide guitar, it is an Americana road trip from Wilco to Eels but with the distinct T. Wold songwriting and delivery. He currently resides amongst the redwoods just over the Golden Gate Bridge near San Francisco.
