"Archer's Paradox Releases Debut Full-Length"

Archer’s Paradox came out of the gate hard — one of their very first shows was at last summer’s inaugural Bunbury Music Festival — and listening to the young musicians’ debut album, it’s not difficult to hear why they’ve gone over so well. A relatively new band is not supposed to be so accomplished and ready for its close-up on its first (self-made, self-released) album. And the rare ones that are usually move on to the next level fairly quickly. Don’t be shocked if AP is the next Cincinnati band to grab some of the national spotlight.

On Pyramid Lake’s 10 tracks, Archer’s Paradox showcases a sound that fits perfectly with today’s radio-friendly Pop Rock, yet doesn’t feel like forced pandering. Though rooted in the now, Archer’s Paradox comes off like an updated amalgamation of The Cars’ synthy quirk Pop, U2 guitarist The Edge’s ping-ponging guitar echoes and the heart-swelling melodies of ’90s hit-makers Gin Blossoms. - CityBeat Magazine

Bio

Nominated for "New Artist of the Year" and "Indie/Alternative" categories in the 2014 Cincinnati Entertainment Awards.

Formed in April of 2012, Archer's Paradox has created a name for themselves amongst the up and coming artists in Cincinnati's music scene. One of their first shows was the inaugural Bunbury Music Festival in the summer of 2012, which was followed by a unique tunnel party put on by Scion, where they opened for Chairlift and RJD2.

Since their debut in the Cincinnati music scene, Archer's Paradox has played shows at some of greater Cincinnati's most popular venues, including Madison Theater, Northside Tavern, Southgate House, 20th Century Theater, MOTR Pub, and multiple shows at Fountain Square.

The focus of 2013 for Archer's Paradox was to continue to generate awareness in their hometown of Cincinnati in order to spread the release of their debut album "Pyramid Lake."  This was successfully achieved by support from local media outlets, as well as booking several huge shows.  After releasing their debut album, Archer's Paradox performed at Fountain Square with Cincinnati's own Bad Veins and Nashville's The Protomen.  This drew one of the largest crowds of the year for the "Indie Summer Concert Series."  They then followed up by headlining The Blue Wisp Jazz Club for Midpoint Music Festival.  Closing out the year, Archer's Paradox performed a 2 hour set at Fountain Square for Macy's Light Up The Square, where over ten thousand people were estimated to be in attendance, and 30 minutes of the set was filmed live by channel 5 news.

Out of town shows include Dayton Ohio, Columbus Ohio, Lexington Kentucky, and Nashville Tennessee, with many more to come before the end of the year.  2014 is set to be a big year for Archer's Paradox, with the main focus on generating awareness out of town by connecting to national blogs and booking regional tours.

Archer's Paradox recorded their debut 10 track album at The Sound Emporium in Nashville, Tennessee. The album titled "Pyramid Lake" was released July 23, 2013.
