Archery Guild started in a haze of the 2010 Montreal winter. Starting as only a two piece, Michael Cota sang and played guitar on a loop pedal and Marshall Vaillancourt played drums. When summer of 2011 came, guitarists Omar Mustafa and Matthew Aulis joined. The winter came again the band persisted to keep practicing. In the middle of the winter, Eva Goodman joined to play violin. Long-time friend Mariah Andrews to Michael and Marshall joined in the spring to play trumpet. Finally after a long search, Tristain Giardini became part of the guild to play bass. Celina Clarke plays on stage as a miscellaneous percussionist. Finally, Ian Gibbons joined with his cello.
