During the fall of '06, ADM came to fruition as a result of 7 musicians who came together and fused their passion for music, particularly hip hop, jazz, and rock, to create a sound that is a direct response to the current state of music.
Brooklyn born mcee's Che, and Tony Cortes have been making music together since high school. As the years passed and both have gone on to create families, their approach to mceeing has also grown. No longer content with just showing skills on the mic or in cyphers, they pooled their talents to become the voices of ADM. the topics they touch range from personal issues such as trying to make sense of day to day living and raising families, to world hunger. Creative, charismatic on and off the stage, this mcee duo represents ADM's frontlines to the utmost.
The the soundtrack to this movement is provided by the ADM players Matt, Jamal, Mike, Justin and Surya (Colorado, Georgia, Ohio, Brooklyn and LA respectively). These incredibly talented individuals are world class musicians in their own right. All products of the hip hop generation, but when they take the stage it is their finely tuned grasp of jazz rhythms and melodies that allow them to traverse the sonic landscape between hip hop and rock.
ADM is not just an about pointing the obvious injustice's in our world, they seek to find solutions and unite folks through music. From the grimiest punk rock venue, to mulit-genre benefits to raise awareness and money for victims of unjust wars, the sound ADM provides, reaches out and touches the people.
