Area 51

Area 51

BandMetalRock

Upon seeing Area 51 live, Morava management said “I was very impressed with [Area 51's] set...I'd have no problem putting them on an Ozzfest or putting them opening up for Metallica...they're tight, they're ready for a national tour...”

Biography

Four music fans have come together to create the band you hear today. Take each of these friends from the beginning, when they first fell in love with music to the present, Area 51 brings together a culmination of influences and styles ranging from Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Tool, and Metallica. Area 51 creates music that is familiar, but also hopefully brings something new to your ears. The band always strives to be a better band. Better for themselves and better for their fans. And although they ultimately want to one day be united with a record company that will work for them, now they work for themselves and their fans. Area 51 works to bring you everything that they have in their hearts and lay it out for you on a stage. The music speaks for itself, and our fans speak for us. Progressive. Metal. Rock. Hardcore. What ever you label it, know that its pure.

Lyrics

Dreamer

Written By: Area 51

I woke up amid a dream

To bleary apathetic screams

Bodies twisting through the streets

Pulsing to a silent beat

Half-alive but half a dreamer

Driven by a hollow need

Servant to the almighty dollar

Is all your life will ever be

Waiting, dreaming, twisting, turning, laughing

Bleeding through the drifting sands of time

Slaving for those follied, fascist, takers

99 to 1

I’d say it’s time to capitalize

I’d say it’s time to capitalize

You fear all that may be true

Intentions get the best of you

Passion rules your reasoning

Forgiveness lost to strategy

People will deceive you, dreamer

Reason is your only liege

Life is in your open future

But you must deserve your victories

Waiting, dreaming, twisting, turning, laughing

Bleeding through the drifting sands of time

Slaving for those follied fascist takers

99 to 1

I’d say it’s time to capitalize

I’d say it’s time to capitalize

The falling of malfeasance

Replacing it with reason

The martyr or the priest

They’re waking from their dream

The falling of malfeasance

Replacing it with reason

The father or the fiend

They’re waking from their dream

The falling of malfeasance

Replacing it with reason

The jester or the queen

They’re waking from their dream

Waiting, dreaming, twisting, turning, laughing

Bleeding through the drifting sands of time

Slaving for those follied, fascist, takers

99 to 1

I’d say its time to capitalize

I’d say it’s time to capitalize

Police State

Lurking Shadows Blot out the light
Plotting terror to squander your rights
Silent watchers have taken the poll
Ignorance has taken its toll

We have become one half of one
Despair for all, one flag before the fall

A nation deceived

Lurking Shadows Blot out the light
Plotting terror to squander your rights
Silent watchers have taken the poll
Ignorance has taken its toll

We have become one half of one
Despair for all, one flag before the fall

A nation besieged

A nation of blind compromise

One by one they take our rights

A savior for all their kind

A nation of blind...

Brothers, sisters lend your dreams to believing
There is truth beyond the liars and their deceiving
You must awaken from the prison of your daydream
Separate what is real from what may be

We have become the lesser part of one
Despair for all, the prison camp will come
We have become the broken half of one
Despair for all the prison camp will come after the fall

Propaganda Induced Patriotism

Their Rule their way
Your lives lost in vain
One flag one name
Totalitarian

As a whisper the imagery starts
Yet, these pictures appeal to your heart
“Cut your hair, we’ve got a hero in the making.
Youthful minds there just for the taking.
Offer hope and they’re putty for the breaking.
Tell them lies and the profit we’ll be raking.

Live, breathe, die
Under our bannered sky
Hype, jive
Fueling the wicked lie.”

Their Rule their way
Your lives lost in vain
One flag one name
Totalitarian

Hopeful verses bring tears to your eyes
Distant shadows masking the lies
“Cut your hair, we’ve got a hero in the making.
Youthful minds there just for the taking.
Offer hope and they’re putty for the breaking.
Tell them lies and the profit we’ll be raking.

Live, breathe, die
Under our bannered sky.
Hype, jive
Fueling the wicked lie.”

Their Rule their way
Your lives lost in vain
One flag one name
Totalitarian

They enter the fray
Their lives lost in vain
To shadows: the gain
Totalitarian
They enter the fray
Their lives lost in vain
To shadows: the gain
Totalitarian
