“As easy as it is to discredit the electro-pop genre for the basic principles and musical pre-boxed rhythms it’s created with, just as much can be said about the vision most acts are producing with minimal help. It’s not uncommon now to see bands with only a few members - or in Argyle St.’s case - just one. With help on vocals for a lighter feminine approach on songs like “ABC,” “One” or “I Saw You First” there isn’t much else Shawn uses to create a very fluid movement through his album Departures. There are very blatant uses of past pre-techno craze loops and voice enhancers, though that seems to be the trend for this type of music that is quickly gaining a lot of traction. Argyle St. steers clear of the ‘catchier’ club hooks we’ve seen in the past and maintains focus on a lighter side of the genre that has yet to be hit within most bands now flourishing from Denver. Departures, now available on iTunes, is a great way to hit the scene with a fresh approach.”

Bio
While Argyle Street is built upon an electronic foundation, it maintains a graceful fluid movement through all styles and flavors of music. Heavily alternative and independent in focus, the songs tend to focus on the more honest, gentle approach to life in all it's beauty, pleasures, and pains. My story is one of self-discovery, experimentation, and love. I love music, and I love sharing music with people. While I have the need to make a living, the important thing to me is that I create and share in a meaningful musical moment with music fans.
