Lyrics

Where The Music Takes You

Written By: Ari Gold / JOJOHO / Sean Petersen

There comes a time you feel fine but you know that there’s something more
And there are days you’re afraid you will say what is it all for?

Sunday, Monday rolls around
Tuesday, Wednesday you’re in town
Searching for some inspiration
Thursday, Friday you stay home
Saturday you’re all alone
MTA strike, no transportation

CHORUS:
You gotta go
With the ebb and flow
It doesn’t matter what you do
If you go where the music takes you

Cause when you know
What’s deep in soul
To thine own self you can be true
If you go where the music takes you

Go with the flow, let the music make you
You gotta go where the music takes you

On the road, going forward and then you come to a stop
Look for signs and you’ll find that you know how to reach the top

Chi-town, LA, ATL
Knock down doors and ring some bells
Looking for some good directions
New York, London, Paris, Rome
Call them your home away from home
Soon you’ll start making the connections

CHORUS

BRIDGE
Oh, the places you’ll go!
When you find
That you’ve been there all along
Click three times and sing (let the music bring you home)
There’s no place
There is no place like home

Trains and planes, automobiles
Got you a brand new set of wheels
Ready for thrilling explorations (can u give me a ride?)
The Concord’s gone, so private jet
Ask your momma, are we there yet?
Get to your final destination

CHORUS

You can fly around the world
If you go where the music takes you

On the go, your in the know, you gotta show it
Feel the flow, and let it go, yeah don’t you know it

Bashert (Meant To Be)

Written By: Ari Gold

There’s a word my Momma said
I’ll tell you what it means
No other word that you can say
Can capture the meaning
Encompassing so much feeling
A person, place or thing
Now all you need is trust in me
And this word starts to sing

Baby it was meant to be
For you and me
For us the stars align
There’s nowhere else I’d rather be
Than tenderly
Holding you close by
And baby I’ll look after you
Take care of you
Cause time is on our side
No one could make me believe
But with you I feel God

Bashert means you were meant to be
You were made for me
I know this deep inside

I’ve heard it said that de ja vu
Is only chemical
But I’ll believe what I think’s true
Don’t care if it’s logical
No scientist can tell me what
Is or is not natural
Cause what we have is far and few
Some call this spiritual

Bashert means you were meant to be
You were made for me
I know this deep inside

Love Will Take Over

Written By: Ari Gold / Bryan Wright

Hate will subside
And love will take over
After the moon shifts the tide
That’s when love will take over
Can’t run or hide
Love’s here to take over
Its all we have left to decide
That love will take over
Love will take over

You may not believe it
If you think there’s something better out there in this world
You just got to feel it
Something undeniable deep in your soul

Don’t we still need peace
We will find a way
To make it a better day
Don’t we still have hope
Not gonna let them bring us down
We’re gonna turn our world around

Some people just don’t get it
They will tell you love is just a dream that fades away
Don’t ever forget it
It will never let you down once you come round

Don’t we still have faith
We will find a way
To make it a better day
Don’t we still need hope
Not gonna let them bring us down
We’re gonna turn our world around

Wave Of You

Written By: Ari Gold

Is it always right to pursue
These feelings
When they get the best of you

And I know
That I’ve been down this road before
And I know
That its slippery when wet
And I could fall

The sun’s coming down
The tides rushing in
And I’m gonna drown in a wave of you
My feet leave the ground
And there’s no one around to save me
When I drown in a wave of you

Sometimes I think that it’s better
To just have my desire
But then I’m left with it all alone

And I know
When it comes over me like this
And I know
That the line is fine between terror and bliss

When I drown in a wave of you

Transport Me

Written By: Ari Gold

Transport me
To another place, another time
Transport me
Give me a different face, that isn’t mine
And transform me
Cause I’m not well for this world
Transport me
Did you know Momma used tell me Daddy wished I was a girl
I was a girl

Transport me
To another place, another time
Transport me
Color a different race, outside the lines
And transform me
If I can change the world
Transporting
We’d go beyond the binary of being a boy or girl

Take me someplace where the core of me
Isn’t up for debate
Take me elsewhere
So I can escape this hate
I’m being the best with what I got
I’m taking the test every day I’m not
These are the thoughts that are in my head
They are held together
By a thin thread

This system is not working
The system is flawed
Doing the same things that I’ve done before
Gonna follow my stream of consciousness
And imagine something better than this
Follow my stream of consciousness
And imagine something greater

If I can’t escape myself
If I can’t escape this body
If I can’t be someone else
If I can’t escape this history

I’ll move through it, yeah
I’ll move through it

Transforming, transporting
To another place, another time

We can change the world

Mr. Mistress

Written By: Ari Gold

I never knew that you had all these strings attached to you
I never wanna play a part in any of that drama
See, I can’t go back to hiding and I won’t go back to living a lie

Please don’t call me the next time that she is gone away
No secret rendezvous this Friday or this Saturday
I won’t be around the next time you want to party n’ play, no way

I won’t be your Mr. Mistress
I won’t be your man on the side
What you gonna tell your wife and children
That you creep on the down low and you’ve been telling them lies?

I won’t be your Mr. Mistress
I won’t be the truth that you hide
Better go and get your house in order
Cause I just can’t sit around and wait until you decide

How long can you keep going on living this double life
Do you get a good taste of me
then you go home, spray a bit cologne on you
You lie and try to say your dirty little secret aint true

Your telling me that she is trying to have your baby
But you are more concerned with who I see in Miami
Do you really expect me to act like you’re my one and only

I need to find someone who makes me a priority
Don’t want to have to tear someone from their own family
Don’t I deserve to have a future with some possibility

Mr. Mistress /You got family
Mr. Mistress /Do you hear me
Mr. Mistress /You’re unhappy
Mr. Mistress /Do you feel me

I won’t be
I don’t need to be
I’m not tryin to be your Mr. Mistress
I won’t be
I don’t wanna be
I’m not tryin to be your Mr. Mistress

I Can Forgive You

Written By: Ari Gold/Peri Steiner/Michael Mugrage

I Can Forgive You

Time passed and I have changed
I have learned from my mistakes
Don't want to hold on
To this pain that I feel
I'd rather remember
The way I used to hold you

I can forgive you
But I'll never forget
I can forgive you
Cause I won't live in regret
Thats no way to live
Thats just no place to stay
Maybe for a while
It may be OK
But eventually somethings gotta give
And I know its gotta come
Solely from within
A moment of forgiveness

You didn't do this dance by yourself
I was right there every step of the way
But I must forgive myself
For letting you do all of the things
You did to hurt me

I can forgive you
But I'll never forget
And I can forgive you
Cause I won't live in regret
Thats no way to live
Thats just no place to stay
Maybe for a while
It may be OK
But eventually somethings gotta give
And I know its gotta come
Solely from within
The moment of forgiveness

This is my way to live
This is my place to stay
And maybe for a while
It may be OK
But eventually somethings gotta give
And I know its gotta come
Solely from within
This moment of forgiveness

I can forgive you...

Love Wasn't Built In a Day

Written By: Ari Gold

LOVE WASN’T BUILT IN A DAY

I used to think it was an instant thing
(A knight, a savior, a king)
Didn’t want to give up on living my dreams
(But you can’t predict what life will bring)

You came in riding
Without any sword
Then you started confiding
Like no one had before
You came out of hiding
And you stayed for more

But I still didn’t know…

It took some time
To get it right
Couldn’t just jump in
Was in for the fight

I know that we will find a way
Love wasn’t built in a day

I won’t give up
I won’t back down
I’ll never stop
Until we reach the crown

Believe that we will find the way
Love wasn’t built in a day

You can’t always choose the ones that you love
(Sometimes you love just because)
You’ll wonder if it ever will be enough
(You go through it when times get tough)

Your lips so inviting
You opened a door
When I’m still deciding
If you’re who I’m here for
But I keep on finding
That I‘m wanting more
Can’t be wrong again…

It took some time (gonna take time)
To get it right (gonna get it right)
Couldn’t just jump in
Was in for the fight

I know that we will find a way
Love wasn’t built in a day

I won’t give up (never gonna give up)
I won’t back down (never gonna back down)
I’ll never stop
Until we reach the crown

Believe that we will find the way
Love wasn’t built in a day

I used to think it was an instant thing

Make My Body Rock

Written By: Ari Gold

Sweet lust
Lust not love
It’s been too long
Give me the honeymoon
Never too soon
I will not skip over it this time

CHORUS:
You say
You’re giving it up
You’ll make my body rock and make me wanna stay overnight
You say
what’s good hey wassup
Your body’s rockin movin me up and down and left and right
You make my body rock
You make my body rock
We don’t have to rush
You’ll make my body shake and rock me up until the daylight

I don’t need
Any hit of ecstacy or bump of anything
To get hard for you
Don’t need no patron or no little blue pill

CHORUS

Make my body
Make my body
Make my body

Gimme gimme
Give it to me
Gimme Gimme
Give it to me

You make my body rock
Make my body rock
You make my body rock
Make my body rock
Make my body rock
Make my body hot
You make my body rock

You’re more than enough
To get my body shakin rockin me up all through the night

Make my body rock

You say
I’m giving it up
You make my body rock and make me wanna stay overnight

You make my body rock
You make my body rock
You make my body rock

My Christmas Wish

Written By: Joseph Schifano/Ari Gold

Remember when Crosby sang “White Christmas”
Rosie Clooney sang it too
Nat The King Roasting chestnuts on a fire
These memories live on an on
Though Christmas days have come and gone
So even in your darkest day
When its hard to find your way remember

The star of Bethlehem is always bright
Keeping peace within your heart
Even in your darkest night
Love everyone just like your brother
And truly learn to love each other

This is my Christmas wish for you
Keep Christmas time the whole year through
I pray that all your dreams come true
And Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas

If you believe the child in you is waiting
And every day is Christmas day
No matter who you are or what you believe
It’s not as hard as it may seem
If you hold on to your Christmas dreams
So be a child let your love flow
If theres one thing that I know I know that

The star of Bethlehem is always bright
Keeping peace within your heart
Even in your darkest night
Love everyone just like your brother
And truly learn to love each other

This is my Christmas wish for you
Keep Christmas time the whole year through
I pray that all your dreams come true
And Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to you
