Bio
Talented young classical guitarist, Arina Burceva has delighted numerous audiences with her performances. She has been featured at guitar festivals in USA and Mexico, appeared on public radio and television, played for the Governor of California and for the U.S. President, performed with the symphony orchestra.
Born in Ukraine in 1982, Arina started playing classical guitar at the age of 9, studying with Marina Azar. She won her first national competition at the age of 11, with many awards to follow, including First Prizes at 1996 Zhinovic competition in Belarus and 2003 Schubert Club Scholarship competition in USA.
Arina holds a diploma in classical guitar performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied on scholarship with the world-renowned artists David Tanenbaum and Dusan Bogdanovic. She also took lessons from Christopher Kachian, Marc Teicholz and Franco Platino, performed in masterclasses for Aniello Desiderio, William Kanengiser and Nigel North.
Ms. Burceva lives now in San Francisco, California.
