With their sweet synth and gnarly riffs, Armada In The Dusk’s single, Take Back What’s Ours surely does make for a refreshing change. With elements of The Devil Wears Prada, As I Lay Dying and Enter Shikari, Take Back What’s Ours is a bit of a change from Armada’s previous style and releases. The boys from Armada chose to have a sudden and unexpected change of pace during the middle of the song, which some may argue as being off-putting, but inevitably, the great production and sharp drumming definitely makes up for any blunders. With the lyrical content that would be considered as ‘posi (positive) metal’, the song talks about changing the world by standing up for what you believe in, making for an uplifting and inspiring ballad. My personal opinion on the song is that the boys made a few minor errors which is nothing you wouldn’t expect from an inexperienced band, but overall they nailed the song and should also be witnessed live.

Brisbane’s self proclaimed ‘Experimental Metalcore’ rockers Armada In The Dusk have just released another new track, Patched Over. Another huge step forward for the band, they’ve kept their promise of always delivering 110%, with great synth work, strong vocals and the usual raw energy fans have come to expect of them.

A new age of energy and anger is slowly taking over, with hard the hard hitting vocal lines and the eerie keyboard parts makes for unique combination of metal core.
The tale of Armada in the dusk’s conception begins in 2009. Formed in Brisbane, Australia By brothers Jeremy and Tristan Coombes. Slowly joining forces with keyboardist and Dj Pauldo Taylor, Vocalist Craig Richardson who formally played bass for this 6 piece band from Brisbane. After finding the sound they wanted to achieve from influences such as, As I lay dying, Still remains, Linkin Park, AITD went and recorded their debut EP “Fragility” which was released early 2010. From the release of “Fragility” AITD went on their first tour which saw them gain respect and hearts of new fans across Australia.
With the release of their sophomore self-titled album in 2011 AITD gained Guitarist Jake Mackenzie and bassist Joshua Cowley who you will see on stage with the passion and energy for what they want to do. Since releasing their album AITD have support Australian acts such as, Sienna Skies, Northlane , Anime fire and Resist the thought. With an incredible work ethic and a dedication to practicing their craft, and emerged as a group of stunning musicians, with a firm hold on what they want to achieve
With the self-titled album AITD went overboard with heavier music, More unique DJ parts, catchier riffs and vocal lines. With the release of this cd AITD went and filmed their first official video clip for the song “for all the sin’s you’ve sold” which has stepped up the performance and passion for this 6 piece experimental metal core band.
