"Tony's write up"

"A powerful statement, creative and impossible to pigeon hole, just the way I like it... my hats off to you Armando!" - Tony Furtado

"The other Tony's write up"

Armando Zuppa is a fresh and compelling voice on the banjo. His hi-tone technique is matched by his soulful compositions. May his picking be heard for years to come" - Tony Trishcka

"Les Mcntire"

Armando's debut recording, "Zupperman" is an innovative wild adventure trekking through the world of contemporary acoustic music and offering a variety of styles spanning a melodious gamut from rock to jazz...one conspicuous highlight is Armando's artistic interpretation of Djiango's "Swing 42"...plenty of progressive banjo picking introducing the music world to the immense talents of Armando Zuppa... - Bluegrass Unlimited

"Tim Bennet"

I was especially impressed with Armando's deft picking....Formidable and tight, they use the well paced songs to stretch out and reel in the listener's attention...He also brings his Italian boldness and Jazz's subtlety to create an unique style and sound; if you like Bela Fleck's or Tony Furtado's work, you will definitely like this...This style has a very strong foundation in Bluegrass, but also resides under a roof of Jazz flexibility and elasticity. The melding of these two different styles is not often accomplished with the cleverness which lives on this album. - Power Pickin
