Miami-native J.P. Evans is next in line to underpin music’s newest hot commodity; the producer-slash-songwriter-slash audio engineer

Mentored by multi-platinum Music Producer/Re-Mixer Vincent di Pasquale (Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, & Mariah Carey) and formally trained in Audio Engineering at SAE Institute Miami.

I’m Heavily influenced by East coast rap. “I also draw from Drum & Bass to Heavy Metal or Neo-Soul."

Evans, began his career in music at the age of 10 playing the saxophone from elementary school thru high shcool. Everything I write is like fabric or textile. It has substance and design. I strive to be the Ralph Lauren of music, creating quality fabric.”

He is currently producing and engineering for Washington, D.C. Based Pop Recording Artist, Jason Cerda.

When he’s not wearing his artist hat, the former Financial Advisor is busy at work for his Armey Antz Productions company. Being a producer gives Evans knowledge on both sides of the boards. But his approach to creating music doesn’t waiver in either medium.

Most recently, he worked with Justin Timberlake & Mike Elizondo (50 Cent/Dr. Dre) co-penning a track for Free Sol, a Memphis, Tennessee act signed to Timberlake’s Tennman Records. Just one week after being released from active duty with the U.S. Army, he got a call to come by Miami’s Hit Factory to write for their debut project (Evans and the group’s lead singer Free attended College together). “It was a blessing to work with true professionals." says Evans.

J.P. produces at his independent recording studio "THE HIVE" located in Los Angeles, CA

The studio boast new state of the art Apogee Symphony system in conjunction with Apple's Logic Pro & Euphonix control surfaces. The studio also uses the industry workhorse ProTools as an additional DAW. The team can route up to 64 channels on their Symphony equipped Mac's.

A dope producer-songwriter-engineer.
