Pete and Thom met eachother in the late '90s, working at the same Restaurant/Playhouse. Through a love of the same music, i.e. Pink Floyd, they forged a long lasting friendship. They started playing music together, both previously excellent musicians. The band was formed a few years later, featuring Keith, Chris, and Willy. The band is influenced by such artists as Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, The Shins and The Libertines. Pete, funny, witty, charming, and exceptionally talented, and with over 30 songs to his credit, is the main force behind the band, an excellent front man and lead singer. Thom, who spent 7 months of the last year in Germany, plays a guitar which is quite lovely, melodic, and loud (when electric), backed up by Keith's steady and sweet sounding guitar, Chris's smooth bass rhythms and Willy's lively and solid drums. Together, they creates a sound which leaves listeners wanting more, or at the very least a recording of the music they just heard. Having been told only good things from everybody who has heard armslengthaway's music, the band hopes to bring their music to a wide audience with a wide array of musical tastes.
