TOUR HISTORY

This past February, Army of Freshmen completed the Get Happy Tour in the United Kingdom. A package tour created by Army of Freshmen front man, Chris Jay and Bowling For Soup front man, Jaret Reddick, the tour sold out in advance and played to over 23,000 people in 12 shows. Promoters for The Download Festival (one of the world’s biggest music festivals) caught AOF’s set in Birmingham and invited the band to play at the summer fest alongside My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Korn. Velvet Revolver, Motley Crue, Evanesence and more.

Army of Freshmen has played over 900 shows in 41 states and 6 countries including 3 trips to Japan and 3 trips to the United Kingdom. AOF will return to the UK 3 more times in 2007 including their first tour of mainland Europe.

RADIO

Last November, 99.9 The Buzz (Top 40) in Twin Falls, Idaho added "Wrinkle in Time". The song was the #2 most requested behind Hinder’s “Lips of An Angel”. The band did an on air interview and a “Win a Lunch with Army of Freshmen Contest” The band’s show that night 11/4 was SOLD OUT. The station added the song after seeing an AOF show that summer.

Last November, Z103 FM (Top 40) in Idaho Falls, Idaho added "Juliet". The band did an on air interview and a “Win a Lunch with Army of Freshmen Contest”. The band’s show that night 11/3 was SOLD OUT. The station added the song after seeing an AOF show that summer.

Last November, 94.7 KIXY (Top 40) in San Angelo, Texas added “Juliet”. The band did an on air interview and a “Win a Lunch with Army of Freshmen Contest”. The band’s show that night 11/7 was SOLD OUT. The station added the song after seeing an AOF show that summer.

Last December, 99.9 KTQM (Top 40) in Clovis, New Mexico added “Wrinkle in Time”. The station added the song cause they have good taste.

SALES

AOF’s self released 3rd record, Under The Radar (no label or distro whatsoever) has scanned over 15,000 copies worldwide at venues and online since it’s release in late June.

The last week of AOF summer tour, Under The Radar sound scanned over 900 copies (these scans include over 300 cd sales in one night in Idaho at a 2,000 seat sold out show.)

Under The Radar appeared on Billboard’s regional Heatseekers Charts 3 different times this summer garnering a Billboard Article on an unsigned band charting.

Their two previous self released records Army of Freshmen and Beg, Borrow, Steal have sound scanned over 20,000 copies worldwide.

VIDEO

Video for the song “Juliet” was shot on film directed by Shawn Foster (Deftones, Sugarcult).

“Juliet” is currently in rotation on Scuzz TV in the United Kingdom.

“Juliet” was in rotation on MTV Japan.

Video featured on My Space Music Video Main Page by request from My Space.

Chris Jay of Army of Freshmen wrote the treatment for Bowling For Soup’s video, High School Never Ends” and Army of Freshmen have a cameo in the video. The video debuted on the VHI Top 20 Countdown and Army of Freshmen were mentioned on air. The video is a smash hit in the UK, peaking at #1 on both Kerrang TV and The Box.

Army of Freshmen have been featured in the national teen mags… Bop, Tiger Beat, Pop Star, J-14 and M.

Billboard ran a feature and photo on the band’s appearance on the Regional Heatseekers Chart as an unsigned band.

Army of Freshmen interviewed with the radio service Westwood One and has been featured several times since then in their syndicated show that goes out to several national radio outlets

In England and Japan AOF has been featured in all the major music magazines including Kerrang, Rock Sound, Big Cheese, In Rock, Rockin On and Grindhouse.

TV and FILM

Army of Freshmen’s “Down at the Shore” has been placed in the upcoming major motion picture, “Spring Breakdown”.

Past Army of Freshmen music has been placed in the following TV shows: Joan of Arcadia, Summerland, Beautiful People, Real World, Road Rules, Meet The Barkers, My Super Sweet 16, Next, Cheyenne, Parental Control.
