Arnak

Arnak est le produit de la restructuration du défunt groupe « 3 against 1 ». Ce groupe, fondé en 1998 par 4 adolescents très peu doués, a réussi à se tailler malgré tout une place de choix sur la scène Punk-Rock québécoise. C’est lorsque le guitariste Jean-François Girard, seul membre fondateur de « 3 aginst 1 » évoluant encore dans l’entourage du groupe, a fait la rencontre du batteur Patrick Cloutier et du bassiste Jean-François Marchand que tout a basculé. Élevant le niveau musical du groupe d’un cran, ces deux musiciens ont constitué une promesse de renouveau qui n’a pas échappé au guitariste Girard. Malgré tout, en tant que quatuor, ils ont continué à rouler leur bosse sous l’appellation « 3 against 1 », enregistrant même un disque professionnel en 2004, « A Brand New Taste », et participant à une tournée à travers toute la province de Québec. Ils ont joué en compagnie des illustres Planet Smashers, Sainte-Catherines, Les Trois Accords, MAP, Bald Vulture, et plusieurs autres. Cependant, le niveau faible des compositions musicales du groupe a vite rattrapé le noyau constitué des 3 musiciens du groupe; ceux-ci ont donc opté de tout recommencer à neuf, cette fois, sous forme de trio. Arnak était né. Toutefois, le groupe fit la rencontre fortuite d’un guitariste, David St-Pierre, qui après quelques répétitions avec le groupe, sembla se scinder parfaitement à l’ensemble musical. Le mariage était fait, et St-Pierre apporta énormément à la composition et à l’interprétation des premières pièces du groupe. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arnak is the product of the reorganization of the late band "3 against 1". This band, founded in 1998 by 4 teenagers , succeeded despite everything to have a place of choice on the Quebec punkrock scene. When the guitarist Jean-François Girard, only founder member from "3 aginst 1" still evolving in the entourage of the group, met the drummer Patrick Cloutier and the bass player Jean-François Marchand that all rocked. However, the low level of the musical compositions of the group quickly caught up with the core made up of the 3 musicians of the group; those thus chose all to start again, this time, in the form of a trio. Arnak had been born. However, the group made the fortuitous meeting of a guitarist, David St-Pierre, who after some repetitions with the group, seemed to fit perfectly with the musical unit. The marriage was made, and St-Pierre brought enormously to the composition and the interpretation of the first songs of the band.
