Bio
Los Angeles-born native, Aron Cowen, picked up a guitar and started writing songs at age 15 and hasn't put it down since. While working as a Music Director at a Theatre Camp during the 90's, Aron discovered and was greatly influenced by such artists as James Taylor, Cat Stevens, The Indigo Girls and Simon and Garfunkel. Aron's songwriting style reflects these influences as he offers a unique blend of "acoustic-pop", as he likes to call it. With thought-provoking lyrics full of imagery, catchy choruses, and skillful guitar work, Aron has captivated audiences from Santa Cruz to San Diego. Recently, Aron has been spotted performing at The Hollywood Palladium, the Temple Bar, The Mint, The Roxy, and The Troubador. Aron has recently received the "Track of the Day" award at Garageband.com and has just completed a demo CD produced by Michael Vail Blum (Madonna, Goo Goo Dolls, Kelly Clarkson). Aron has opened up for Elektra artist Alana Davis, and has played with Ozomatli.
