Bio

Late in 2011, Ryan Brumlic (ex-blind worm cycle) was looking to start a new project because of an old band fading out. A friend who played bass, Bobby Volm (ex-blind worm cycle), expressed interest. The music began to sound very progressive, but with a definite death metal basis. Ryan and Bobby sought out locally well known drummer Sean Smith (Atreus, ex-Apollyon, ex-Silence All) and by early 2012 a trio was born. Soon after, Apollyon, a well known band in the state had broken up, and prominent writer behind the music, Brandon Brown was available for a band. He soon joined Aronious. Early in March 2012, Zach Earley (ex-blind worm cycle), a young diverse and rhythmically excellent vocalist joined the ranks. Thus concluding the EP, Truth in perception, which was released with very positive reviews on April 4, 2014.

2016 saw the departure of longtime bassist, and still close friend, Bobby Volm. After searching around for a bit, local guitarist and engineer Nick Weyers (Archives), decided to give bass playing a try with much success. The recording of the hour long concept album began. After Nick and Ryan had started recording Perspicacity in a dark room for years, the band sadly had to part ways with another close friend, and founding guitarist, Brandon Brown, who moved to Kentucky to finish school, pursue a promising career, and is currently writing some amazing material on his own. In order to fill the massive void left by Brandon, Nick decided to revert back to his natural state and play guitar in order to help Ryan finish the album. This also came with a worthy addition to the band in the form of multi-instrumentalist and all around talented individual, Evan Neiman, who matched the bands sense of humor, and having been a long time friend, stepped in to play bass. In order to give Nick a break from the recording process, Drummer Sean Smith, decided to step in and help Zach Eary Produce and record his vocals thus, completing the recording process.

While recording Perspicacity the band started to shop around for mixing and mastering engineers and the one man that was commonly agreed upon was Mark Lewis (Beneath the Massacre, Whitechapel, Arsis), who did an absolutely outstanding job at helping the band achieve their vision.

Having a strong passion for mature musicianship and beautiful technicality Aronious is eager to get their name deeper into the scene. Ryan's insane guitar work and intricate melodies, combined with Nick’s solid riffing skills and rhythmic knowledge, Evan’s tight low end, Sean's insanely complex yet very sound and punishing drums and Zach's pure rage on a microphone and deep lyrical concepts, make Aronious's future very promising. Aronious has shared the stage with many great bands, including The Black Dahlia Murder, Septicflesh, Dark Funeral, Origin, Decrepit Birth, Soilwork, Fear Factory, Suffocation, and many more.  We look forward to coming to your city, riffs in hand.
