Après avoir fait considérablement parler d’elle à Trois-Rivières, d’où la formation émerge, il est à peu près temps pour around joshua de recevoir l’attention qu’il mérite au Québec. La formation qui a entre autres ouvert pour Malajube et Patrick Watson donne dans un rock alternatif énergique mais avec la touche sonore délicate de la dream pop. Les pièces sont généralement rythmées et évitent de tomber dans la répétition par le soin d’arrangements judicieux, notamment sur le plan des textures électroniques fort réussies. La réalisation de l’album est impeccable et renouvelle chaque écoute. La voix lancinante du chanteur et guitariste porte l’album de bout en bout et atteint sur eternally sa pleine puissance, qui fait mouche. En somme, un premier album efficace, pour amateurs de britpop qui ne rechignent pas devant le talent d’ici. (sébastien dulude)

Newly signed to Avenue B Multimedia NYC for management, booking and promotion for Canada, US and Europe, the band from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec will release their new album in 2010 on a new indie Records. In 2010 the band will start their ''Noks Tour'' to support their first single "Hold On" who will be service to radio through AirPlay Direct. They will tour the east coast, UK and Ireland and offer Acoustic and Electric shows.
A full 3D animation video will be launch in early
2010 on MTV, VH1, Much Music, YouTube and more.
In UK the first single will appear on the december 09 promo sampler of Manchester base the White Label (www.thewhite.co.uk).

around joshua is from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. The band was formed 7 years ago by singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Talbo. What started out as a solo alternative project has evolved over time to become of a indie Brit pop sound band.

The buzz gave the opportunity to perform in key market Montreal, Quebec City, performing in the best venue likes café campus. Their live performance gave them a chance to open for international act like: we are wolves, joseph arthur, patrick watson, the dears, dj champion & malajube …
The band perform at the prestigious Art Vocal Festival, has part of the 2006, 2008 and 2009 edition. Enriched by the collaboration of various musicians, the band made different arrangements more melodic and refined.
Their cd caught the attention of the president of Indica Records M.Franz Schuller; his label has distribution in over 30 major markets and the represent bands like Grimskunk, Joseph Arthur and les Trois Accords who sold over 100000 units of the latest release.
M. Schuller mentored the band throughout the process and introduced them to producer; Jordon Zadorozny, who has worked with artists such as Sam Robert’s Band and Melissa Auf der Maur (Hole, Smashing Pumpkins). The recording session took place at his studio in Pembroke, Ontario starting in 2008 and 2009 working on new material.
