Arrane started out with two original members of The Three Brendas. After we lost one of the Brendas, 4 years ago, to motherhood and a solo jazz career we acquired Karen Bell and her brother Kevin and became 2BK. Percussionist and guitarist Catherine Thompson joined us last year and we've morphed into "Arrane" - Celtic for song. We are influenced by anything Celtic, folk, country even jazz as long as there's a good story attached. Our members have been involved with classical, broadway, celtic folk and rock from John Prine, to Lorenna Mckennitt, the Dixie Chicks, The Rankin Family, Gordon Lightfoot to mention a few. We blend our own compositions and covers with great arrangements, harmonies and a good sense of humour and play. With such diversity in our backgrounds we bring a wide range of emotions to lift the spirit and tug at your heart strings.
