Arrow, the title under which the ensemble performs, refers to MY direction. Arrows signify many things in society: direction, change, movement. Arrow is a beacon for others to follow. Arrow presents new and exciting music, which is a culmination of the of influences that I have absorbed growing up in Sydney. These include jazz, rock, improvised music, and groove music. Arrow is an attempt to honestly present all of these influences in an acoustic setting. We have been playing as a group for about two years, and in this time I have been the sole composer. The band has developed a sound and repertoire that is unique. As a drummer and the bandleader, I believe that I bring a unique vision to the ensemble, and a holistic approach to the ensemble sound.
