Fed on a diet of their parent’s old vinyl collection and fascinated since a young age by the atmosphere created by films, the brothers Charles and Max Nilles decided to create the electro band Artaban in 2006. Thanks to internet, which opened the door of several concert venues, this luxembourgish duo carved themselves a place in the small luxembourgish electro scene in sharing the stage in the good company of its VJ with bands like Apparat, Modeselektor, Wax Tailor, M83, Sébastien Tellier and the Foals.
Their first album entitled «Landscapes» was released in october 2008. Their music could be defined as a cross between Röyksopp and Boards of Canada.
Artaban is currently preparing a collection of remixes, a soundtrack on a short film, as well as numerous new tracks.
