Art Dumaplin

I've been singing & writing here in the Pacific Northwest since the late '80s, starting in karaoke bars and with friends bands doing originals and cover tunes. I never really felt the need to take my singing talents to the next level. But I've always felt I'm a better writer than singer (though there are some who might disagree).

The 2 songs I have currently listed here at Sonicbids: "Let Me Go"- Was produced at Paramount in Nashville after my lyrics won one of their contests (not me singing). It's basically about parents dealing with the loss of a child, and told through the child's spirit; "Junk In The Trunk" - Fairly self-explanatory, I produced it at my friend's studio; I did all the vocals, my friend used the latest version of Cakewalk, as well as keyboards & B3, and we brought in another guy who played 2 different guitars.

As of this writing [OCT 2008] I'm currently working on a compilation CD of originals in a few different genres, and entering contests here and there. Vocally, I think I'm at my strongest doing harmony and/or singing with other voices. Outside of producing a few of my songs and maybe other studio work, I'm all about the FUN; it's truly expensive but fulfilling hobby!
