Bio
Artifas is a modern rock band from Memphis, TN. It is comprised of Scottie Somerville, Cody Criswell, Ben Walsh, Chris Dildine, and TJ Burgess.
Artifas is about the music. The members of this band came from numerous backgrounds from metal to classic rock. They used these influences to create their own sound, and plan to make their mark in the industry.
Starting as the band New Skin, they began recording demos in their own studio, based in their hometown of Martin, TN. After months of bouncing around from city to city and making attempts at recording with once famous artists, the band finally decided on Blake Allison of Egypt Central as producer of the debut release.
The debut record will feature the concept of the balance of Good and Evil that is within every one of us. The selection of songs set for the record vary from easy listening, melodic tunes, to the more high energy "in your face" sound that the band is known for.
Soon after starting on this album the band decided it best to get a new name. After extensive searching, we ran across Artifas. This is a direct reference to the balance of good and evil.
With an exciting stage show and powerful music, Artifas plans to reach out to the music lovers around the world.
